Part 1 - Introduction

  • Greeting & facilitator introduction & acknowledge shift to online delivery for this session
  • What is The Edge at SLQ?
  • Introduction to project - what is the Great and Grand Rumpus both last time and this time

Part 2 - Contribution & Design Brief

  • Design and fabrication of one large scale cardboard wall relief sculpture that will measure approx 6m wide x 4m high for the back wall of the Gallery space. Pinterest for inspiration and to communicate what a wall relief is:

  • Wall relief designed with projection mapping in mind, Michelle to introduce these possibilities and how these elements can work together

Part 3 - Dream

  • dive into the well, select and Imagined thing and short creative writing exercise - students write from Imagined Thing - focused on environments where these imagined beings or locations exist to help flesh out their engagement with the world in class one note

Part 4 - Share

  • Share back to group by reading their writing
  • Concept/world mapping on Miro digital note board (concurrently)
  • Each participant to underline/highlight three words/themes or the essence of their writing to map out

Part 5 - Collaborate

  • Spend time writing, sketching and finding imagery as a group to combine their previously written worlds either on the class one note

Part 6 - Share

  • Each group share back their combined worlds with visuals and words

Part 7 - Documentation

  • How we document via the Wiki, each group to fill out the reflection form
  • What we are working on in Week 2
