All of above.
Recognise that people learn differently so provide written, audio and practical opportunities to learn. Try varying the way concepts are explained.

Go into it remembering that everyone learns at a different pace and have differing learning styles and skills. Open the floor up to allowing questions and encourage sharing ideas.

Direct presentation will able to give the clear instruction to let learners understanding the message and knowing how to do it. Group activities are the indirect methods to involve learners for practice together.

Some people might be visual learns, some might be more hands on or some might prefer to just read all the information themselves at home. Figuring out which is the best way for someone to learn will help them feel more comfortable and will even help them learn faster. Once each person's preferred learning style is established, the lesson/session can be tailored to suit the different learning styles.

Everyone comes to training with different learning skills and different barriers. Being aware that not all people learn at the same pace, or in the same style will allow facilitation to be flexible and inclusive to everyone.

Remember people have different learning styles, some may learn best by practical application, others may prefer to read notes to themselves and then follow through. Make sure you're going at a speed which is suitable for everyone and not leaving people behind.

People learn differently include written clear instructions along with verbally explaining the topic allow participants to ask questions and 'do' hands-on tasks themselves providing guidance when required. Perhaps have a computer available for each participant to use.

When there is a lull in participation an opportunity presents itself for the facilitator to subtly turn the participant into the facilitator. Peer to peer sharing is empowering.
