Janette, 2022/03/26 10:08
Suggest short sessions. Online courses at their own pace.
Caroline, 2021/08/05 15:24
Let them know about self-paced learning such as Be Connected. Let them know that practice at home is important for retaining information and gaining confidence. Re-visit their primary reason for wanting to learn digital.
Neill Hahn, 2021/04/09 19:37
Find out what they most want to learn about and focus time on that, while showing that learning to use technology can save them more time in the long run.
Find out if there is really another reason for thier resistance and address that perhaps.
Stephanie, 2021/04/01 12:24
Offer the self guided tutorials on Be Connected and similar resources provided by the library that they can do in quick, easy time frames. As they are self paced they can be done at any time that is convenient, and just a little every day will help
Georgia, 2021/04/01 10:53
Let them know that there are short courses available. Let them know that they can access courses online in their own time that can help them or they can set some time aside, only 5 or 10 minutes a day, to review any information they have learned so as not to forget.
Jessica, 2021/03/31 13:06
Let them know that they can have a one on one session tailored around their schedule and explain how online services can be time saving and beneficial to them.
Richelle Ryan, 2021/03/31 11:37
look to offer short sessions with low committment
Paese, 2021/03/16 13:51
Encourage to work at their own pace. Some have specific needs. This allows us to tailor each and gradually explain other benefits.
Linda, 2021/03/05 11:48
Work at your own pace, and make shorter sessions and allow them to save their work as they go so they can come back to it when they have another chance
Robina, 2021/03/04 12:59
Suggest a small and quick task they can complete when they have 5-10 mins spare.
Mark, 2021/02/28 21:07
Suggest that digital technologies may steamline their daily activities.
Consider online digital learning sessions
GERARDINE MARY LAAN, 2021/02/24 15:28
Short and precise training that they can practise at home and call in any time that the library is open for a brief review. They don't have to commit to the full session. Learning at the individual's pace is encouraged.
Judith Di Gregorio, 2021/02/23 14:26
Short sessions not to complicated tell them about the time they can save using the computer
k, 2021/02/18 14:07
Advise time saving benefits eg online shopping
Debbie, 2021/02/13 10:10
Short sessions. Online courses at their own pace
Pam, 2020/12/24 12:03
Suggest doing a little at a time, look at online courses to do in their own time.
fiona thackray, 2020/10/27 18:35
Direct them to online courses that they can tackle at home in their own time. Use time in Library to help them access courses and then allow them to follow it up at home.
Kirsty, 2020/10/12 16:19
Suggest time saving benefits to learning how to do things online
Pam, 2020/10/12 15:22
Give them resources that they can work on bit by bit at home, on their phone, etc.
Talk to them about learning little bits at a time. What is the thing they most need to know, right now? Show them that, and send them on their way!
Leisa , 2020/10/09 09:32
I would suggest practising in shorter sessions at a suitable time during the day.
Hannah, 2020/10/06 13:10
Like above comments suggest, tailor the lessons to their time frames.
Colleen Hobdell, 2020/10/02 09:57
Suggest daily short sessions of practice
Carolyn Beattie, 2020/10/01 11:07
Ask how much tome they could spare, and tailor short training sessions on topics that interest them
Anna, 2020/09/30 10:20
Short yet intensive stints of learning can be effective for those who are time poor or that get restless easily.
Tegan, 2020/09/28 12:55
Offer shorter classes, explain how online services can provide more time for other things etc.
Jodie, 2020/10/28 16:37
I agree with Tegan's method.
Kerry, 2020/09/28 10:04
I tell clients to use it when they feel like it & walk away if its frustrating you!! in no time you will start to see improvement
Chloe Patch, 2020/09/15 16:12
Just do a little bit every week or weekend.
Petrina, 2020/09/15 14:24
Offer shorter sessions, give them input into what they would like to learn so the session is more tailored to participants needs. Explain that it may take longer at first but once they get used to doing things online it will be a lot faster and save them time and paperwork.
Eleanor, 2020/09/10 16:08
Break down courses into shorter lessons and show them how technology can save them time such as with internet banking where you can easily transfer money, check your balances etc.
Jennifer , 2020/09/10 11:28
Show them how technology can save time. Suggest Be Connected and Tech Savvy Seniors online courses
Katrine, 2020/09/03 12:52
Lessons can be tailored to individual so can be nice and short as time permits.
They can have a quick lesson and practice later at home.
sue, 2020/08/31 11:30
one on one lessons can be as short as the customer requires. Make the customers aware of the Be Connected and Tech Savvy Seniors online courses available
Christi, 2020/08/26 11:21
Show them that technology can aid in time management. Show them the Be Connected topic library that they can work through in their own time and show them that the presentations aren't very long. Encourage them to write down questions they can ask you at a later date
